Amy Bohutinsky - Instructor New Mom's Class
A long time fitness instructor, collegiate athlete and outdoor enthusiast, Amy Bohutinsky loves just about anything that takes her outside and works up a sweat. Her first "boot camp" type experience came while playing on a nationally-ranked NCAA tennis team in college, and continued as she became an AFAA-certified fitness instructor after graduation, teaching a variety of strength and cardio classes to support her measly starting salary as a journalist. Amy has finished more than a dozen triathlons, one marathon and skydived twice -- but nothing compares to her greatest life athletic achievement that came in November 2007: giving birth to baby Frankie!
Having exercised throughout and after her pregnancy, Amy has a tremendous amount of passion for helping moms become and stay healthy for themselves and their families. Realizing it often seems daunting to find the time, get the help, or obtain nearly enough sleep to jump into a postpartum exercise program, Amy's classes are designed with the challenges and joys of modern motherhood in mind. She focuses on finding balance -- and of course getting outside the house for a great workout!
In her "day job" she tries to balance, Amy is director of corporate communications for real estate Web site Zillow.com. |

Breona Gutschmidt - Yoga Instructor
Breona is excited to share her love of yoga with the Health Bride/Healthy Goddess community this year. Practicing since 1999, Breona was first drawn to yoga as an athletic pursuit, but she soon discovered that yoga held the way to life balance, mental focus and a new relationship to physical movement, the body and the breath. Providing a sense of stillness in the midst of hectic daily life, yoga also regularly helps her with stress and insomnia. She has studied several styles of yoga, including Iyengar, Hatha Flow and Power Vinyasa and is a certified yoga instructor through Eight Limbs Yoga Centers. A writer and editor by day, she also writes a monthly yoga column for ParentMap.com. |
